“Harry Highpants” by Tony Wilson is a great text for exploring persuasive writing. The ICT skill of blogging is a feature of this lesson. Teachers often ask ‘how do I start planning a lesson involving writing and technology” so I have actually detailed my thinking process for planning this task (link below).
The other books I have used successfully for persuasive writing and blogging are The Short and Incredibly Happy Life of Riley (Colin Thompson) and Click Clack Moo (Doreen Cronin). This activity may be adapted for Years 2-6.
